Anxiety & Depression Therapy
The cycle of anxiety and depression often feels like a relentless loop, where each emotion fuels the other, making it hard to break free. Anxiety brings an overwhelming sense of worry and dread, a feeling like you’re constantly bracing for something bad to happen. This stress can become exhausting, leaving you drained, vulnerable, and susceptible to depressive thoughts. Depression, in turn, can amplify anxiety by creating a feeling of hopelessness or a belief that things will never get better, further feeding fears about the future. It’s a cycle where anxiety pushes you into a place of emotional exhaustion, and depression then keeps you there, locking you in a state of unease and despair. Over time, this loop can feel inescapable, making even small tasks seem daunting and robbing you of the energy needed to make changes.

Therapy can be transformative in breaking the cycle of anxiety and depression. Our clinicians are trained in variety of therapeutic techniques and approaches. Our primary framework is an integration of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Using these models together, we will work to heal the various parts of yourself that might be weighing you down and learn evidence-based skills to help you be more grounded, present, and fulfilled. In ACT, clients learn to accept challenging thoughts and feelings without letting them dictate their behavior, focusing instead on values-driven actions. By learning to observe anxiety or depression without resistance or judgment, clients can start to feel less controlled by these emotions and can reconnect with activities that bring purpose and meaning. IFS, on the other hand, helps clients explore different "parts" of themselves, like the anxious part or the depressed part, with curiosity and compassion. In recognizing these parts, clients can understand the role each plays in their lives and develop a supportive relationship with them, rather than feeling overwhelmed. Together, ACT and IFS offer tools to help you build resilience, enabling you to step out of the cycle with self-compassion and a renewed sense of control over your life.
